The Sonrise Church of Clovis “412 Children’s Choir” will be presenting Christmas songs during our service as they help lead us in worship for this special Christmas program!

CrossPointe McFarland is “decking the halls” as we begin the month of December with our Christmas Party and Potluck gathering! This fun and festive time will take place immediately following our worship service as we celebrate the Real Reason for the Season!

We are asking each family or person to bring (“one main dish,” and “one side dish”) for our potluck meal. The church will provide the drinks and desserts.

Also, if you would like to participate in our “gift exchange,” each person is asked to bring a $10.00 gift card to anywhere (i.e. box stores, restaurants, gas stations, coffee shops, retail stores, fast food, etc…) Please no actual gifts or white elephant gifts this year.

This FREE community event will provide fun for the whole family in a safe environment and will include:

Entry fee for each clay shoot competitor is $100 per person (clay shoot participants only) or $400 per team. The entry fee counts toward each teams’ overall funds raised (score).

BBQ Lunch By “God, Guns And Grub”

The Bakersfield Pregnancy Center is excited to present our fall fundraiser, “Aiming for Great Fatherhood!” It’s a fun, family-friendly event for all ages!

Each participant is encouraged to either join a team or form their own (of 4 clay shooters, and an unlimited number of team members who are non-shooters).

For every $100 each participant raises from sponsors before the event, their team earns one Target Hit! The team with the most target hits (either earned by fundraising or by scoring a hit during the clay shoot) will be the “Top Gun” Champions! The Championship Team will receive awards including championship ball caps and a team trophy.

The clay shoot will be filled by a BBQ lunch, open to the public! Lunch is open to both participants and non-participants. So invite your friends to come to watch the competition and then stay for a delicious lunch!

Lunch will be served to attendees once they have finished shooting. The winning individuals and team will be announced at lunch and a count of funds raise. We will also have a Live Dessert Auction, with bidding starting at $1 per dessert. All proceeds benefit the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center. *Additional guest is $15 each.

Rules For Game Are As Follows:

Each team needs 4 clay shooters. Each clay shooter team must complete the whole course. Non-shooting team members are only asked to raise funds for their team and must have all money collected and turned in before the clay shoot begins. No additional funds can be raised by a team once the clay shoot begins. Ammo is available for sale at the site. Any unused ammo must be left at the clay shoot premise. Team with most hits wins!

The men of Sonrise have invited the men from CrossPointe McFarland to join them at the Seibert Family Lake for a barbecue and a fun evening of fellowship!

There will be no church transportation provided, you will need to make arrangements to carpool or take your own vehicle to Clovis. For more information see Pastor Bobby.

CrossPointe McFarland is excited to welcome Ulises and Claudia Leija-Longoria with us during our morning celebration worship service!

Ulises was called to ministry at the age of 21, since that he has served the Lord in different areas. He is passionate to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with people. Discipleship is and always has been a pillar in his ministry, because helping new believers to grow and strengthen them is the base of the church’s growth. Sharing the Gospel is not a ministry but a life style. Him and his wife are currently BBFI and TXBBF Church Planters. Since 2016, Ulises has served as the pastor of Iglesia Ebenezer in Denton, Texas.

Ulises, Claudia, and their children (David and Sara) are originally from Saltillo, (Coahuila), Mexico, but now they make their home in the Lone Star State as BBFI Church Planters from Mexico to the Spanish speaking people of the United States of America. Midway Baptist Church of Pilot Point, Texas, is their home and sending church.

CrossPointe McFarland is excited to welcome Steve and Jenell Bender with us during our morning celebration worship service!

Steve serves as a BBFI Associate Mission Director in Springfield, Missouri, and oversees missionary care and chaplain endorser of the Baptist Bible Fellowship International. Jenell has served along side her husband in ministry for decades and is a sought after gifted speaker/communicator for women’s conferences and ministry events. Together Steve and Jenell complement each other and have ministered all over the world together.

Steve is originally from Texas and Jenell from Fresno, California. Jenell is out of Chestnut Avenue Baptist Church Fresno, now Sonrise Church of Clovis. Steve and Jenell are both graduates from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College in San Dimas, California and served as BBFI Missionaries for approximately 18 years in Korea. After a two year stint at Temple Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas, they now make their home in the Queen City of the Ozarks in the Show Me State and are active members of Graceway Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri.

True Love Tribe is excited for this year’s event! They will be honoring the runners that were featured in the Disney movie “McFarland USA,” starring Kevin Costner as Coach Jim “Blanco” White. These cross country runners were champions as teenagers and now they are still champions making positive contributions to their community as adults.
