Bobby A. Sharp

Senior Pastor

Pastor Bobby is the Founding and Senior Pastor of CrossPointe Baptist Church of McFarland. He attended Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary (Mission University) in Springfield, Missouri, has taken graduate course work through Liberty University and was approved as a church-planter through the BBFI APEX Assessment. Bobby was born in Fresno and raised in Selma, California before moving to Northwest Arkansas and returning to the Golden State and the Central San Joaquin Valley in 2001. He has been in ministry for over 20 years with experience in Arkansas, Missouri, and California as well as having a background in law-enforcement and athletics. He is passionate about evangelism and serving the McFarland community where he lives. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center and is Vice Chairman of the California Baptist Bible Fellowship. Bobby and his wife Alejandra have one daughter, Victoria Lee, who lives in Springfield, Missouri with her husband, Benjamin and their son, Ezra. Pastor Bobby enjoys spending time with his family, watching college and pro football and basketball, spending time at the Central and Southern California coast, traveling, and is an avid die-hard Fresno State Bulldogs fan.

Alejandra Sharp

Executive Administrative Assistant

Alex is originally from Acapulco (Guerrero) Mexico. When she was 13 years old her family moved to the United States to Dallas, Texas where she graduated high school before moving to Northwest Arkansas and finally to the Central San Joaquin Valley of California with her husband and daughter. She is bilingual and fluent in the Spanish and English language. Alex enjoys spending time with her family, having one-on-one girl time with her daughter (whether shopping or hanging out at Starbucks or Jamba Juice), traveling, listening to  worship music, volunteering at the local food bank centers, and living in a region that has a rich Hispanic culture and fresh authentic Mexican food and produce.

Armando Ortiz

Small Group & Prison Ministry Leader

Armando is a resident of McFarland with his wife Jean and their daughter Zarahi (Abigail) who is attending college. Their son serves in the U.S. Air Force with his wife. Mando graduated from Christ Mission Fellowship Ministries Seminary. He joined CrossPointe McFarland in September of 2017. He is bilingual in Spanish and English and has a passion for preaching, evangelism and for reaching the people of Mexico. Armando’s hobbies include landscaping his yard, raising exotic birds, hanging out with man’s best friend (his two dogs), classic cars, spending time at the ocean, and cruising around town in his 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle.

Elizabeth Ortega

Español Ministry Specialist

Elizabeth was born in Bakersfield and raised in Delano, California. She graduated from Delano High School. Her husband’s name is Gabriel and together they have two daughters. Elizabeth’s grandmother had a major influence in her Christian faith and she considers her to be her angel. Elizabeth has been a Christ-follower since 2002. She is fluent in the English and the Spanish language and  has experience in translating and being involved in Spanish ministry within a local church setting. Elizabeth joined CrossPointe McFarland in December 2016. She enjoys spending time with her family, visiting the coast and Alta Sierra (her father’s two favorite places), helping others who are less fortunate and hanging out with her church family who she loves.

Thomas Vallas

Security Team Director

Thomas is a life-time resident of McFarland where he lives with his family. He graduated from McFarland High School and earned scholarships to both College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California and Cal State Bakersfield where he studied criminology. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and has since retired from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as an officer. Thomas joined CrossPointe McFarland in September 2016. His wife is Martha and together they have three children. As a high school student-athlete, he had a major part of the McFarland XC teams that won nine California state championships and two national championships within a fourteen year period. Due to the national attention of Coach Jim White’s success and accomplishments against all odds Thomas and his character was portrayed in the Disney McFarland USA movie which was based on a true story and released in theatres on February 20, 2015. Thomas is fluent in the English and Spanish language. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching McFarland High School XC, running, mentoring young athletes to achieve their goals and traveling all over the Country as a motivational speaker.

Trista Redoble

 IT & Multimedia Coordinator

Trista was born in Delano, California but was raised in McFarland where she graduated from high school. She studied child development and behavioral intervention at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California. In 2018 she joined CrossPointe McFarland along with her family. Trista’s husband is Andy and together they have one daughter. Her hobbies include cooking, spending time with her family and going on long walks.

Andy Redoble

 Facility Operations Coordinator

Andy was born in Dinuba, California and raised in Delano where he attended high school. He graduated with an associates degree in automotive technology from Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. He is married to Trista and they have one daughter at home named Kierah. They also have three other children and six grandkids. Andy and his family joined CrossPointe McFarland in 2018. In his spare time he enjoys reading, spending time with his family, cooking Filipino dishes and going on long walks.

Gabby Armendariz

Environmental Services

Gabriela was born in El Paso, Texas and moved to Huntington Park, California where she grew up and received her education. Gabby and her family moved to McFarland and in July of 2019 started attending CrossPointe McFarland. She has five daughters and a family dog named Tito. Gabby is bilingual in Spanish and English. She enjoys reading, the outdoors, listening to music and spending time with her family.
